PAST EVENTS AT CIL
1. ISO Certification
CIL is now an ISO 9001: 2000 certified company. We are amongst the few companies who have achieved the certification in a very short span of time. We started the effort in February 2007 and have reached the first milestone on April 28th, 2007. Our Quality policy is: "Quality is embedded in all our web portal businesses across diverse verticals. We will continuously deliver and continually improve our commitments to all stakeholders every time “on time” through agile processes with quantifiable measures.”
2. GIS Development Center inaugurated in Kolkata
The GIS development center has been set up in our Kolkata office. A dedicated team of 14 people has been assigned the responsibility of GIS database creation. Geographic Information System or GIS is a computer based integrated database management system, which stores large volume of spatial data with its attribute or non-spatial data that are captured, stored, retrieved, processed and analyzed for providing answers to queries of a geographical nature.
3. NASSCOM IT Women Leadership Summit 2007
Ms.Usha V Sagar, Chief Operating Officer MapXL division and Ms. Smriti Bali Manager Finance would be representing Compare Infobase Limited at NASSCOM IT Women Leadership Summit 2007 which is scheduled to be held at The Leela Palace, Bangalore from 12th-13th December 2007.
4. TiE Entrepreneurial Summit(TES)

are presently attending annual
TiE Entrepreneurial Summit(TES) at the Taj Palace Hotel.The Summit showcases the spirit of entrepreneurship in the Asian region by attracting different elements of the entrepreneurial eco-system to share ideas and learning.
5. NASSCOM Information Security Conclave 2007
Ms. Swati Thakur, Dy. Manager IT Department would be participating in NASSCOM Information Security Conclave 2007 on 4th December at ITC Kakatiya, Hyderabad.
6. IMTA(Asia Pacific) Region Conference & Trade Show
Mr. Manvinder Singh, President E-Commerce Division, will be representing MapXL in the IMTA (Asia Pacific) Region Conference & Trade Show to be held on 2nd-3rd Nov ’07 in Australia.
7. Maps of India Gandhi Quiz
Maps of India Gandhi Quiz, conducted from 26th of September to 2nd of October by the MapXL Team, received an overwhelming response. Scores of people from different parts of India participated in the quiz making it a grand success.
8. “The India Leadership Forum”, organized by NASSCOM
CIL participated in “The India leadership Forum” organized by NASSCOM in the month of February ’07. The focus of the forum was on positioning the country as a partner and key contributor to the overall growth and success of the global IT and Outsourcing markets. It was attended by an overwhelming turnout of 1500 delegates and had over 120 speakers from across the globe. The event highlighted India’s intent to forge alliances, partnerships and mergers - acquisitions, and usher in the new global economic order, where emerging nations are assets and not liabilities.
9. NASSCOM Delegation to US (May ’07)
CIL participated in the trade delegation organized by NASSCOM in the US from 8th – 11th May 2007. It was an initiative for the emerging innovative IT companies to increase partnership opportunities between themselves in the 2 countries. Simultaneously, Software 2007, a leading exhibition for software IT companies organized by Sandhill group was also held in Santa Clara, California (8th - 9th May ’07).
10. FT Global Outsourcing and Offshoring Conference
Mr. Simarprit Singh represented CIL in the FT Global Outsourcing and Offshoring conference that was held from 14th-15th May ’07 in London. The conference provided critical insights into the challenges the industry faces in supporting the delivery of global business models. It ensured the right set of people are managing and governing relationships and delivering operations across the newly extended enterprise and that the much heralded benefits of outsourcing and offshoring accrue. The conference had speakers who are renowned personalities across the globe.
11. Times Job Fair
Timesjobs.com, one of the premier job portals of India, organized “The Big Leap Job Fair” from 11-13th May ’07 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It was a unique platform where job seekers met and were interviewed by several top employers at a single place. CIL actively participated in the event and benefited in terms of recruiting as well as building a strong brand image for itself. It was amongst the most populated stalls at the event drawing about 3000 job seekers. On the whole, the event was a huge success for CIL.
12. Map Asia 2007, Kuala Lumpur (August 14 - 16 2007)
Map Asia 2007 is the Sixth Annual Asian Conference on GIS, Remote Sensing and related technologies which was held from 14th to 16th of August 2007 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Mr. Manvinder Singh, President - E-Commerce Division and Mr. Amit Jain, Vice President - Business Development, attended this conference on behalf of Compare.
13. Maps of India Mega Quiz
Maps of India Mega Quiz, conducted on the 15th of August by the MapXL team, received an overwhelming response. All the questions were related to India. The results were declared on the 20th of August.

Mr. Simarprit Singh, Managing Director and CEO, attended the IMTA (Americas) 2007 Conference and Trade Show in Philadelphia, PA USA on September 23, 2007.
15. Frankfurt Book Fair
Mr. Manvinder Singh, President E-Commerce Division, on behalf of MapXL, attended the Frankfurt Book Fair from 10th-14th Oct '07.
